Discover Civano Tour

Homes, art studios, and businesses within Civano – a neighborhood conceived in the last century (!) as a model for a sustainable community and originally envisioned as “Tucson’s Solar Community” – will be open to the public on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors must register (no charge) on the day of the event at the Civano Neighborhood Center located at 10501 E. Seven Generations Way, Tucson, AZ 85747, where they will receive a self-guided walking tour map. With more than 50 local businesses thriving within Civano, several of them will have their workshops and studios open for tour visitors, along with a selection of private homes. The tour map will also have information on the location of different types of eco-friendly home construction, which can be viewed from the outside. Come find out how one

Civano New Year’s Eve Party a Hoot!

Civano New Year’s Eve Party & Fundraiser a Resounding Success! Friday, December 31, Civano Activity Center Thank you for joining Civano neighbors and friends for dessert, music (live DJ) and dancing, raffle prizes, and a great time to ring in the 2013! $10 bought adults a new stemless or purple-stemmed Civano wine glass, plus two grand prize raffle tickets. Additional glasses are available for purchase at $8 each or four for $30. Contact Geno or Diane at 520.975.7447 to purchase your glasses. Participants enjoyed the shotgun raffle for great prizes from local artisans and other businesses. All proceeds, totaling just under $1,000, benefited Civano Neighbors neighborhood association. Civano and Sierra Morado Bus (Shuttle) Service Began December 3rd!

Bus service for Southeast Tucson/ Rita Ranch will start on Monday December 3!  Sun Shuttle Route 450 will serve many locations including: Santa Rita High School Clements Center Ward 4 Offices Pima College East Civano community Sierra Morado community Rita Ranch neighborhoods UA Tech Park Various shopping centers Connections to multiple Sun Tran routes It runs back and forth between the park and ride at Golf Links and Kolb and the UA Science and Technology Park, including through the middle of Civano and Sierra Morado.
